  Today, you don’t have to be a man to vote in most countries. But, many passionate people fought this every step of the way. Women should NOT be allowed to vote, they said. If you’re not a man, you should know that campaigners wrote letters to the editor against giving  you  the right to vote. Journalists wrote dedicated articles. People protested in the streets! They fought  hard . But,  why ? I searched history records and academic literature to find out.  What I found shocked me.  Now, you’ll see the truth - including original letters to the editor that radiate raw hate. You can expect these arguments to offer a reading experience that’s both amusing and deeply unsettling. This is part of your history even if you’re outside Australia. After all, Australia’s early decisions to make some women eligible to vote contributed to earthquakes of agitation for suffrage world-wide. Today, I sent Parson Dick of Pinginup out for publishing through Editing History .  I grew up in Australia. There, most people's parents and teachers read them stories of 'Snugglepot and Cuddlepie' when they're young. May Gibbs created these iconic works that we all cherish. It's a tradition and the characters of May Gibbs form a sort of folklore in the culture.  Given my love for this author, I decided to conduct research deep in the historic archives. What I found was confronting and I confided in my mother via email: "I went looking to see if I could find any stories by May Gibbs... You know, newspaper serials that have been lost to history. Today, I sent my  Special Edition of Agatha Christie's book The Mysterious Affair at Styles  out for publishing through Editing History .  This was the book that started it all for Agatha Christie. Today, I attended the launch of Women in Cycling . It was an inspiring opportunity to hear from expert speakers. There were opportunities to respond to polls and ask questions throughout the event. Plus, the networking session at the end connected attendees with other professionals in the sector. There were more than 1000 registered participants from all over the world. The break-out rooms totally overloaded the event's Zoom set up! It was a great problem to have. Introduction I'm preparing to publish two derived works. Both are unique because they have been edited to put women in the leading roles. Today, I set up this site. It feels wonderful to embark on something for the pure joy of it! Do you know this feeling? Over more than 20 years, I've worked on many different projects all over the world. I've been to more than 20 countries . But, when you have skills, you find yourself dilligently using them (and almost all of your time) for others... even when away on 'holidays'. Many of us do. That's fine, but what about you ? You're worth spending time on too.  After all, none of us know how long we have on this earth. And the clock is ticking... What are your goals and dreams? What sets your heart on fire?
